A weekend of kōrero, mahi, and whanaungatanga

Te Ara Whakamana Mana Leadership Camp
Friday 28th July 9am – Sunday 30th July 1pm
The Silverstream Retreat, 3 Reynolds Bach Road, Upper Hutt

Maui – by Glynis Gonzalez, Year 5 Student from Taita Central School

We are excited to announce this year’s Mana Camp as an opportunity to participate in robust kōrero, workshop, engage, and network.

This year’s theme is “Creating strong Mana Teams”

We welcome all Mana Teams, Principals, Deputy Principals, RTLB Cluster Managers, Learning Support Service Managers, SENCO, Learning Support Teams, and key people trained in Te Ara Whakamana, to join us for a special weekend at the Silverstream Retreat in Te Whanganui-a-Tara on the banks of the beautiful Te Awa Kairangi.

Building sustainable foundations in the kaupapa of Te Ara Whakamana requires school leaders to form a dedicated and diverse team to support the successful implementation and embedding of Te Ara Whakamana in schools. This year’s Mana Camp will focus on how to build strong Mana Teams, and the key purpose, roles, and transformative functions they play.

We will also have a guest speaker from the Māori Achievement Collaborative – Regional Coordinator, Kim Nikora.
